The Yin of Women's Health
This four-hour self-study is being offered to health and wellness professionals who want to learn more about women's health as it relates to Traditional Chinese Medicine and yoga.
The course begins with an overview of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) where we review meridians, yin and yang as well as Qi, Shen, Essence and the four phases of reproduction. We'll investigate the imbalances in the body by utilizing the eight principles and how this relates to a woman's monthly cycle and fertility. We'll also take a deep dive into perimenopause and menopause and unravel symptoms and assess disharmony in the body. The five elements (water, wood, fire, metal and Earth) will also be discussed, and we'll review yoga practices related to each element. Acupressure points will be provided for each meridian system and pathway. You will also experience a yoga practice that encourages balance and harmony within as well as some supplemental meditations to assist in calming the nervous system.
