Sometimes we find our path in mysterious ways. Having childhood friends and family diagnosed with cancer, Celeste developed a curiosity about resilience and the human psyche at an early age. As she entered college, she discovered the world of health and science and became a research chemist with a concentration in genetics and nutritional biochemistry. After working in pediatric medicine, she followed the path of proactive wellness and prevention creating educational opportunities for patients, families and staff to reduce stress and promote healing.
After receiving her Masters in Health Education and Wellness Promotion, she began providing guidance to those wanting to create a richer presence through lifestyle choices. In the late 90s she received training in mindfulness-based stress reduction and biofeedback. In the early 2000s, she ventured deeper into complementary and alternative therapies. Over the years, she has educated youth, medical staff, corporations and individuals on proactive versus reactive ways to manage stress and live with awareness. She encourages living life from the inside out.
Bringing her closer into the world of genetics, she discovered, in 2006, that she carried the BRCA2 genetic mutation which answered why so many family members were diagnosed with cancer. With that knowledge she has explored and created protocols to assist in cancer prevention and treatment. She continues her education in varied genetic variations and specializes in analyzing blood laboratory reports, HTMA (hair tissue mineral analysis) and taking a functional medicine approach in discovering deficiencies and making recommendations to clients before they become a health concern.
Supporting Hippocrates and the quote – “Let Food Be Thy Medicine,” she has received advanced certificates in integrative therapies and functional nutrition. She believes in addressing the root cause of illness, restoring health and not simply masking the symptoms. She also takes great pride in receiving her Doctor of Traditional Naturopathy degree in 2020.
She works with individuals in all walks of life including women of all ages regarding hormonal balance, natural fertility, prenatal health, menopause and adrenal health. Whether it's finding resiliency in life, creating hormonal harmony, preparing for an upcoming surgery, adding a complementary approach to an existing plan or simply reducing stress, Celeste has helped many discover the health benefits of integrative wellness and holistic approaches.
Celeste practices what she teaches. She believes humor is a must to live a rich life and this includes being able to laugh at ourselves. Celeste is a yogini, meditator and has an apothecary of essential oils and flower essences to help find her own bliss!
