This three-hour self-study with audio and video class is being offered to health and wellness professionals who want to integrate traditional health education with a holistic approach to fertility and hormone health and well-being.
Whether someone wants to start a family or have a regular cycle, hormone balance is an essential key to health and well-being. Hormones are important chemical messengers that regulate physiology and impact digestion, metabolism, sleep, stress, mood and reproduction. Hormone imbalance can cause weight gain, PMS, acne, low energy, insomnia, irregular periods and infertility, just to name a few. If left unchecked, it can lead to major health problems such as diabetes, thyroid and adrenal concerns, cancer and more.
The conventional approach to hormonal imbalance often includes synthetic hormones such as birth control pills, but this doesn’t resolve the underlying issue. It masks the root cause creating fake cycles where ovulation is suppressed. Unfortunately, when a woman is ready to become pregnant, she may have more difficulty and experience post-birth control syndrome. Synthetic hormones aren’t the only problem. Lifestyle choices can cause hormones to go off course – from what a person internally and absorbs externally. The good news is that hormones can be balanced naturally.
With this course, you will be able to recognize specific symptoms and determine the type of hormone imbalance you or your client may have. You’ll learn how to recognize signs of infertility. You’ll be able to recognize if a teenager is going down the path of hormone complications. You’ll learn about certain conditions that are often seen with hormone imbalance such as anovulatory cycles, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis. You’ll learn about the two types of PCOS and the tests used to determine a diagnosis. You’ll be able to determine the root cause, determining if infertility is due to lifestyle choices. If so, you will be given strategies that can help you or your client manage reproductive health without negative side effects. Lastly, you’ll learn methods of reconnecting to the natural rhythm of hormone balance and discover harmony and improved fertility (if desired) within.
