Instructing Guided Relaxation
This six-hour self-study with audio/video modules and guided script handouts is being offered to health and wellness professionals who want to integrate guided relaxation techniques into their practice.
Guided breathing and meditation are relaxation techniques designed to reduce stress. In a world where we are constantly on, it's nice to pause and take a break. While it's helpful for health and wellness practitioners to practice themselves, it's also a great tool to have to assist clients in various ways. By learning how to guide someone into calm and peaceful thoughts, not only do your clients gain the benefits of this practice, but so do you. The more you practice, the easier it gets. The benefits are endless. You can expect your breaths per minutes (and your clients as well) to decrease. The heart rate and blood pressure have also been shown to lower and you become more proactive to stress versus reactive. In addition, less anxiety, decreased pain, better mood, improved sleep are also some common benefits.
This activity has been approved by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. (NCHEC) for a total of 6 entry-level Category 1 CECH - Two (2) have been approved for advanced-levels credits (MCHES).
